The Blacksmith Shop
The Blacksmith Shop was certainly one of the oldest and most important buildings on the ranch. It had a partial floor installed in the northwest corner, most likely for the placement of a forge, where the blacksmith would stand for hours hammering out horseshoe and ranching implements.

There were no interior decorations, only the tools needed to repair the ranch equipment. Later ranchers who owned this property would convert the structure into a granary and even a chicken house.

 

This beautiful barn at the M-L Ranch has been lost to history

Barn
A beautiful frame barn stood on the site until the 1960's. It was in such disrepair that it had to be destroyed.
