News Release Date: October 13, 2017 On Wednesday, October 11, Kent Green, 64, of Orlando, FL passed away while hiking on the Lost Mine Trail in Big Bend National Park. While hiking with his wife, Green reportedly collapsed. Park visitors began performing CPR until staff arrived on scene. An interagency response included National Park Service and Customs & Border Protection agents. Efforts to resuscitate were not successful. Big Bend National Park’s staff wishes to send sincere condolences to the friends and family of the deceased, and thank all visitors who rendered assistance. |
