Bent’s Old Fort was completely reconstructed by the National Park Service in 1975-1976, and was dedicated on July 25, 1976. The dedication of the reconstructed fort coincided with America's bicentennial and the centennial of Colorado's statehood. Today it stands as a reminder of how the United States has remembered its past.
