MOAB, UT— In late afternoon on Tuesday August 20, 2024, National Park Service rangers responded to a report of CPR in progress on Delicate Arch Trail in Arches National Park. Personnel from Grand County Sheriff’s Department, Grand County EMS, and Classic Air Medical also responded. Resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful, and the 58-year-old female patient from St. George, UT was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Grand County Sheriff’s Office and the National Park Service are investigating this incident. No additional information is available at this time.
