This year marks the 97th anniversary of the National Park Service and everyone is invited to join the party! The Southeast Utah Group of parks (Arches and Canyonlands National Parks and Hovenweep and Natural Bridges National Monuments) will join the other 400+ units of the National Park Service in celebration on August 25th. Americans can be proud that the United States was the first country in the world to set aside its most significant places as national parks for the education, inspiration, and enjoyment of all. All four parks of the Southeast Utah Group will waive entrance fees all day on Sunday, August 25th. Visitors are reminded that the fee-free designation applies to entrance fees only and does not affect fees for camping, reservations, tours or other special park uses. Park entrance stations will have Interagency Senior and Annual Passes available for those who wish to purchase them. Additionally, rangers at Arches will offer family-friendly activities all day long on the Arches Visitor Center patio to celebrate the cultural and natural diversity of America's most special places. Stop by and join in the fun! |
