The park is centrally located along the western shoreline of Saipan, adjacent to downtown Garapan. From airport, proceed north on Airport Road (Tun Herman Pan Highway) until the road ends at Monsignor Guerrero Road (Highway 16). Turn left and continue until the road ends at Beach Road. Turn right until the road ends at the American Memorial Park Mall. Turn left onto Micro Beach Road. The parking lot is on the right.

American Memorial Park grounds

American Memorial Park common access areas are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Carillon Bell Tower is dedicated to the American and Northern Marianas people who gave their lives during World War II. In remembrance, bells chime every half-hour from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. American Memorial Park hosts four public use tennis courts on the property. From 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., three of the courts are lighted for night time use. There is an open play area, picnic sites, and two playgrounds.

Saipan Island has a tropical rainforest climate with no dry season. The temperature varies from 75°F to 88°F and is rarely below 73°F or above 90°F.The climate is tropical, hot and humid throughout the year, with a relatively cool and dry season from December to June, and a warmer and rainy season from July to November. The temperatures are stable throughout the year.

The American Memorial Park Visitor Center and Pacific Historic Park Bookstore

The American Memorial Park Visitor Center is open everyday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

 
 

Saipan is the largest island in the Northern Mariana Islands with an area of approximately 44 square miles or 115 square kilometers. Annual temperatures vary minimally with greater temperature variation occurring from daytime to nighttime. The tropical marine climate of the island allows visitors to enjoy many days of full sun, warm temperatures, and seasonal trade winds. The rainy season, with the possibility of typhoons, occurs from July through November and the dry season is from December through June. Sunscreen or UV protective clothing is a must along with a hat and sunglasses. Staying hydrated and seeking shade for occasional periods of rest is also recommended. Restroom facilities are available within the park. You may purchase bottled water and food from a variety of shops, convenience stores and restaurants located within short walking distance from the park.
