Summer Seasonal Positions
Most seasonal positions are offered during the summer months (April through October). The vacancy announcements for these positions are normally posted in October through February.
Maintenance Worker summer seasonal positions This position performs simple and routine work involved in the maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings and related utilities, requiring the use of a variety of trade practices associated with occupations such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, cement work, painting, and other related trades.
Interpretive Ranger GS-5 summer seasonal positions Full time 40 hours per week. Shared park housing or full-hookup RV pads may be available. Choose “Harrison, NE” as the duty station to apply for Agate. These individuals will work at the front desk of the visitor center, as well as on the trails, providing information to the visitors. They will also provide presentations about various topics related to Agate's long-term interpretive plan.

Park Guide GS-4 summer seasonal positions Full time 40 hours per week. Shared park housing or full-hookup RV pads may be available. Choose “Harrison, NE” as the duty station to apply for Agate. These individuals will work at the front desk of the visitor center, as well as on the trails, providing information to the visitors. They will also facilitate "pop-up" activities, support ranger presentations, and initiate short, informal talks with guests.
