Enjoy a special family day in Acadia as part of National Junior Ranger Day! On Saturday, April 28, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., children ages 5 to 12 and their families (former, current, and “wanna-be” junior rangers included) are invited to explore, learn, and discover how to protect Acadia’s natural and historical resources.

Junior Ranger Day will take place at the Sieur de Monts Spring area on Route 3 south of Bar Harbor. The day’s events will include stations for games, arts & crafts, nature hikes, and cultural activities. Participants will earn a National Junior Ranger Day patch and certificate. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Come for the whole event or stop by anytime for part of it. Activities run rain or shine. This event is part of a nationwide National Junior Ranger Day celebration and MDI’s TV Turn-Off Week. The event is sponsored by Acadia National Park, the Bar Harbor Garden Club/Wild Gardens of Acadia, and the Abbe Museum.
