At the Wilderness Access Center, you can purchase bus tickets and arrange to stay in a park campground.

All shuttle buses depart from this building, as well as some of the tour buses.

This building also houses a small gift shop, a coffee stand, and an information desk.

The Wilderness Access Center is operated by our concessioner, Doyon/ARAMARK Joint Venture.

Dates and hours of operation are:

May 20 to Sept. 17, 2012, 5 am to 7 pm daily for bus departures and coffee cart. Ticket desk open 7 am to 7 pm daily. Hours may vary during shoulder seasons.

If you arrive after 7 pm and need to check into a campground or pick up bus tickets, you can do so until 11 pm at the Riley Creek Mercantile, located in Riley Creek Campground.

Warmer average temperatures over several decades have resulted in expansion of woody vegetation. If this warming trend continues, it will change Alaska's ecosystems and drastically alter the physical appearance of Denali's landscape, as treeline marches higher up the mountains.
