George Pryor

George Pryor (1780-?) married to Margaret, the half-sister of Mary Ann M'Clintock. They lived in Waterloo. Together they were abolition and Quaker reformers. They hosted Abby Kelley, organizer for the American Anti-Slavery Society, in their home when she traveled through the area. His son, George W. Pryor attended the First Woman's Rights Convention and signed the Declaration of Sentiments.

George Pryor was among a group of Hicksite Quakers who formed the new Progressive Friends or Friends of Human Progress in October of 1848. Others in the group included the M'Clintocks and Hunts and Isaac and Amy Post.
