The footprints found in White Sands National Park are incredible, unique and fascinating. These fossils unlock a trove of information, and connect visitors to the ancient people and animals that left them.

Below are links interactable 3D models of some of the footprints found in our park. Researchers take thousands of photos, and tile them into a mosaic. This allows fine detail to be captured and studied by people from all over the world, while protecting the original fossils.
