Flagstaff Area National Monuments to Lift Fire Restrictions FLAGSTAFF, ARIZONA – The National Park Service working in cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service, intergovernmental agencies and tribal partners in Northern Arizona, will move to Stage 1 fire restrictions starting at 8 a.m., on Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Monsoonal weather patterns have moved into the area decreasing fire danger. During Stage 1 fire restrictions there is no smoking outside of vehicles or buildings and no open campfires outside of developed sites. The National Park Service would like to remind everyone that although fire danger is no longer Extreme, it is still Very High, please continue to be fire aware and use extra care when visiting your public lands.
