Voyageurs National Park Association Helps Celebrates Founders Day

INTERNATIONAL FALLS, MN: Voyageurs National Park Association (VNPA) one the of the park's leading partners is helping to celebrate Founders Day by hosting cake at each of the park's visitor centers. Cake will be provided at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center, Kabetogama Lake Visitor Center, and Ash River Visitor Centers. Visitors are welcome to come mingle with park staff and enjoy a slice of cake.

Founders Day is the National Park Services' 100th Anniversary and is on Thursday, August 25, 2016.Visitor center hours of operation on Thursday are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Voyageurs National Park Association's mission is to protect and promote the natural, recreational, and historic resources of Voyageurs National Park. VNPA was created in 1965 to help establish Voyageurs National Park. Since then, VNPA has continued as Voyageurs' leading voice for both protection and promotion of its resources, and as a partner with the National Park Service in empowering park stewards, implementing special projects with financial and volunteer support, and working together to preserve the visitor experience and wild nature of the park for future generations.
