Voyageurs National Park Announces Summer Hours of Operation for Visitor Centers

INTERNATIONAL FALLS, Minn. – Voyageurs National Park staff are pleased to announce the summer hours of operation for the park’s four visitor centers: Rainy Lake, Kabetogama Lake, Ash River, and, for the first time, the newly opened Crane Lake Visitor Center.

The Rainy Lake Visitor Center will have a special weekend opening on May 10 and 11 to coincide with the Minnesota fishing opener and Mother’s Day. Hours for that weekend will be 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Starting Saturday, May 24, all four visitor centers will begin regular summer operations. They will be open seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. throughout the summer season.

Mark your calendars for two exciting upcoming park events:
  • The grand opening ceremony for the Crane Lake Visitor Center will take place on Friday, June 6 at 1:30 p.m.
  • On Saturday, June 14, join us at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center to celebrate Voyageurs National Park’s 50th birthday 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
For the most up-to-date list of park programs, visit www.nps.gov/voya. To reserve a spot on ranger-led boat tours, which will begin on June 15, visit www.recreation.gov. For all other ranger-led programs, please inquire at the visitor center you plan to visit.
