INTERNATIONAL FALLS, MN – Voyageurs National Park, and the park's not-for-profit-partner, Voyageurs National Park Association (VNPA) invite you to take part in the discussion to shape the national park's focus over the next five years. The VNPA will be hosting public brainstorming sessions on Monday, May 8 at the Voyageurs National Park Headquarters, 360 Highway 11 East, International Falls, MN. The sessions will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

During the brainstorming sessions national park management and VNPA will be seeking input on: What do you feel the national park is doing well?; What could the national park improve upon in the future?; What do you feel national park management should focus on over the next 5 years?; and, How do you feel Voyageurs National Park Association could make the most impact in supporting the park in the future?

All members of the public who have an interest in the future of Voyageurs National Park are encouraged to attend one of these sessions! Refreshments will be provided by VNPA.

Information gathered during this brainstorming sessions will be shared with the Voyageurs National Park leadership team, all park staff and park partners. During the remainder of the May 8 week the park team members will be working together to develop a shared vision for future priorities for the park.

"The hope is that through the public discussion, and the focused efforts of the park team, we'll develop a shared vision for the priorities of the park for the next five years." Stated Bob DeGross, Voyageurs National Park Superintendent. "My goal is to build alignment of priorities across divisions and to strengthen internal and external communications about those priorities so that we are all on the same page."
