North Union Avenue from Grant Avenue to the USS Cairo Museum and the National Cemetery Road within Vicksburg National Military Park are closed to ensure visitor safety. Following heavy rainfall on February 10th and 11th, soil erosion heavily impacted the road surfaces necessitating the closures to ensure visitor safety.
The National Cemetery Road remains open to pedestrians. Grant Avenue and Sherman Circle remain closed to the public for safety reasons.
