Honolulu – Due to the tropical storm warning now in effect for Oahu, World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument will close the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center at 2:00pm on Tuesday, September 11, to allow staff time to prepare for heavy winds and rain.  The park will remain closed until further notice.

The visitor center, museums, bookstore, and snack shop will be open to the public between the hours of 7:00am and 2:00pm, with the last USS Arizona Memorial program beginning at 1:00pm. Following these shorter hours, the visitor center will be closed. Limited parking will be available until 5:00pm for visitors coming back from our partner sites.

For visitors planning to make reservations, please be advised that the ticket inventory for Wednesday, September 12, has been deactivated on www.recreation.gov, so no tickets can be reserved for that day. If conditions are safe for the park to reopen on September 12, those tickets will become available as first come, first served walk-in tickets.

We apologize for the inconvenience of this closure, but it is necessary for visitor, staff, and park protection. The park will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.
