A gravel road leads from the entrance to the Valle Grande Entrance Station.

Access beyond the Valle Grande Entrance Station is available in the following ways:

• By hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, or snowshoeing.
• By personal vehicle (a backcountry vehicle permit is required, limited numbers and seasonal restrictions apply)

Vehicle access beyond the Cabin District is closed seasonally from November 1 to May 14.
