Operating Hours & Seasons

River Use and Public River Accesses

River use on the Upper Delaware River is permitted 24 hours a day, year-round. However, we recommend checking the weather and river conditions before setting out on your river trip and always practicing situational awareness while on the river. Be mindful of potential flooding, ice floes, or other hazardous conditions.

Public river accesses are closed 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM.

Roebling's Delaware Aqueduct (Roebling Bridge)

Roebling's Delaware Aqueduct offers beautiful views of the Delaware River and interpretive waysides on the history and construction of the aqueduct. Although today it functions as a one-lane vehicular bridge, it was once used to transport canal boats across the Delaware River and today remains the oldest wire cable suspension bridge in North America. Pedestrian pathways allow visitors to walk across the bridge on either side.
