2016 - Two Special Anniversaries
The Tuskegee Airmen Celebrate 75 Years!!! The National Park Service Turns 100!!! Seventy-five years ago, on March 22, 1941, the 99th Pursuit Squadron was activated at Chanute Field, Illinois. Thus began the military experiment whose participants came to be known as, The Tuskegee Airmen. On August 26, 1916 with the passage of the Organic Act, the National Park Service was created.
