Double Victory Poetry Contest Guidelines
Contest Purpose:
Contest participants will be required to research and pull from their own knowledge of history and use the sacrifices and accomplishments of brave individuals (such as the Tuskegee Airmen) in order to formulate an exceptional poem. Throughout this creative process, participants will undergo an inspiring and transformative experience while learning about these true American heroes.
- THEME: Double Victory – The Tuskegee Airmen
- ELIGIBILITY: Ages 5 - 26
- GUIDELINES: Times New Roman 12pt font only. No more than 1 page in length
- JUDGING: All decisions by the judges are final
- DATES: Submission deadline April 1, 2022, 5:00 PM CST Announcement of winners: Sunday, April 17, 2022. Winners will have the opportunity to read their poems on social media during National Parks Week.
- SUBMISSION: Friday, April 1, 2022 by 5:00 PM CST.

Double Victory Poetry Contest Rules:
- The contest is open to students ages 5 - 26.
- Times New Roman 12pt font only
- Poems may not exceed 1 page in length.
- The National Park Service will determine when and how the winners will be notified.
- All decisions by the judges are final.
- Entry form needs to be submitted with poem.
