Current Volunteer Opportunities
Become a Volunteer Campground Host
The park is now accepting applications for volunteer campground hosts in Juniper and Cottonwood Campgrounds for the 2019 season. The following links to volunteer.gov contain more information about the duties and requirements for each volunteer assignment, as well as information on who to contact in case you have any questions.
Volunteers receive a small stipend and free rent and utilities (water, electric sewer) while volunteering. The dates listed are approximate and allow for some flexibility to suit your availability.
May 1, 2019 through June 1, 2019 (RV required)
July 25, 2019 through September 30, 2019 (RV required)
May 1, 2019 through July 13, 2019 (RV required)
July 14, 2019 through September 30, 2019 (RV required)
May 1, 2019 through July 19, 2019 (cabin provided)
July 20, 2019 through September 20, 2019 (cabin provided)

The Student Conservation Association (SCA) recruits and places high school and college students, and individuals already out of school, into volunteer positions within federal, state, and local government agencies as well as private nonprofit agencies and organizations.
