Aspen Ridge - Boulder Ridge
Hikers looking for a longer trail to Phelps Lake will enjoy this moderate loop. Leaving from the Laurance S. Rockefeller Preserve, follow the Aspen Ridge Trail. The trail takes hikers through aspen groves and boulder fields before reaching Phelps Lake. Once at the lake, the forest opens up to reveal the lake and views into Death Canyon. Follow the Boulder Ridge Trail to complete the loop back.

Laurance S. Rockefeller Preserve
To access trails, drive down the Moose-Wilson Road and follow signs to the Laurance S. Rockefeller Preserve. The Moose-Wilson Road is closed to RVs and trailers and occasionally has closures. Parking at the Laurance S. Rockefeller Preserve is limited to 50 cars. Arrive early to guarantee a parking spot, but plan on waiting if visiting in mid-summer.
