Weather Impacts to Park Operations at Stones River National Battlefield

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Due to expected hazardous weather conditions, including winter storm and ice warnings and a statewide State of Emergency, Stones River National Battlefield will be closed beginning Saturday January 24. The National Weather Service is forecasting dangerous driving and walking conditions for both staff and visitors, and this action will help ensure safety.  

All park areas and facilities, including the visitor center, tour road, Stones River National Cemetery and satellite sites will remain closed until conditions are safe and snow/ice is removed.  

Park status and updates will be posted on the park’s website at nps.gov/stri and on the park’s Facebook page. Visitors may also contact the park by phone at 615-893-9501 for the most current information.  

We appreciate the public’s patience and encourage everyone to stay safe during this weather event.
