Rangers and staff at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore (National Lakeshore) will be presenting short films from a number of National Park Service (NPS) sites on December 10 and December 17. This two-day film festival over a couple of consecutive Saturdays will be the final NPS event of the Centennial celebration for 2016.

The NPS will conclude their 2016 Centennial year as the chief stewards of 413 individual park sites. These sites encompass some of the most beautiful and important natural, cultural, and historical resources in the United States. Explore some of these treasured places in a series of NPS films, each film a reflection of a different national park or national heritage location from around the country. The festival will be held at the Phillip A. Hart Visitor Center in Empire, Michigan, starting at 12:00 p.m. and lasting approximately 2 ½ hours. There is no charge for this program and visitors are welcome to watch as many or few films as they like.
