There are many ways to experience parks and outdoors spaces, one of which is by tuning into the sounds of music. In concert with the National Park Service’s Find Your Park campaign, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore (National Lakeshore) is hosting a performance by musician Dana Falconberry at the D. H. Day Campground amphitheater at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2015.

Dana Falconberry, an Austin songwriter and Michigan native, is best known for her eloquent interpretations of nature and wildlife in her music. Her performance will include selections from her 2012 album Leelanau; written as an ode to her childhood visits to the Michigan peninsula of the same name. This performance is not limited to just those staying at D. H. Day Campground. All visitors need only purchase the Park Entrance Pass or have an Annual Pass displayed in their vehicle to join in the free fun. Due to limited parking, visitors who are not camping will be asked to park at Glen Haven and hike or bike to the D. H. Day Campground amphitheater via the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail.

As you experience the National Lakeshore in musical form, you are encouraged to share your thoughts at FindYourPark.com and on social media using hashtags #FindYourPark and #sleepingbearnps
