Celebrate the NPS Centennial at Sleeping Bear Dunes

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is celebrating the 100th birthday of the National Park Service (NPS) with a series special summer events. There will be free concerts, “star parties” with astronomers, a Research Rendezvous lecture series, a naturalization ceremony, and more.

All events are free with a park pass. A pass is not required Research Rendezvous lecture series at the Philip A. Hart Visitor Center. For a complete listing of events, check our calendar.

Park rangers will also be doing outreach in the local community. Look for us at special events and programs in your neighborhood. If you are hosting a special event and would like park rangers to present a program, lead an activity, or host an informational table, please contact Lisa Griebel, 231-326-4726, lisa_griebel@nps.gov.
