As an Artist-in-Residence at the National Lakeshore in 2007, Ms. Taylor lived in the National Lakeshore and took inspiration from park resources to create the poem and artwork that became her newest book. Taylor’s interpretation of the famed Odawa Indian legend of the mother black bear and her twin cubs is one of hope and dreams.
