Park Transitions to Winter Hours
Sitka National Historical Park (October 15, 2012) - Sitka National Historical Park will be transitioning to its winter season operations.Beginning October 19th, the Visitor Center will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.Please note the Visitor Center will be closed on all Federal holidays. Free tours of the Russian Bishop's House tours are available Tuesday through Friday by advance reservation as staffing allows. For information or to schedule a tour of the Russian Bishop's House, please call the Visitor Center at (907) 747-0110. Park trails are now open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.The direct route between Metlakatla Street and Sawmill Creek Road across the Indian River footbridge is open for through-traffic at all times.Cyclists are reminded that bicycles are limited to this direct route and must be walked.A bicycle rack is provided at the visitor center for those wishing to explore the rest of the park on foot.
