East Entrance of Park Closed Until Further Notice

Brown Bears are still fishing in Kaasdaa Héen (Indian River)

The East Entrance on Sawmill Creek Road and Russian Memorial Loop trail in the park’s east unit are closed. The Riverview Trail is also closed between Sawmill Creek Road (to the north) and the pedestrian bridge over Kaasdaa Héen (Indian River) to the south.Totem Trail loop remains open, but bear encounters are possible.Look for alerts or closures at each trailhead. Please respect these limited closures when you see a trail is posted as “closed”. Thank you.Check the parks current conditions page for closure updates.
