Shiloh National Military Park is offering grants to offset transportation costs. The grant is available through the Open Outdoors for Kids Grant awarded to the park by the National Park Foundation. Grants up to $250.00 will be awarded to schools visiting the park during the Spring 2020 semester.

How to apply:

1. Did your school visit Shiloh Battlefield or Corinth Battlefield during the 2018‐2019 academic year? If not, then you are eligible to apply.
2. Visit the education page on the park website to plan your visit: www.nps.gov/shil/learn/education
3. Ensure the school district is registered at www.sam.gov.
4. Submit a pre‐visit and post‐visit lesson plan showing how you will prepare the students before the visit and reinforce what they learned after their visit. Include your contact information, school information, school district financial officer contact, estimated transportation costs, and proposed date to visit the park. (Ranger programs are not guaranteed as part of this grant.)
5. Submit application to Ashley_Berry@nps.gov using “Bus Transportation Grant” in the subject line.
