Position Description – Vegetation Monitoring, Scientists in Park
Update: This Scientists in Park service includes a possible monitoring trip to Channel Islands National Park or Cabrillo National Monument besides serving largely, and living, in SAMO, and is run through the NPS Scientists in Parks (SIP) program. From the SIP webpage, click on "Apply" and then "Browse Available Positions".
The application period closed on June 11, 2026, thankfully with applications from many qualified applicants among the full 60 received. While we are no longer accepting applications for Spring 2027 service, please be on the lookout for an application period starting around May 2027 for Spring 2028 service.
