VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION AT SAN JUAN NHS

San Juan, Puerto Rico- San Juan National Historic Site invites you to celebrate Veterans Day by visiting Castillo San Felipe del Morro and Castillo San Cristobal on Friday, November 11^th , 2016. Entrance to the fortifications will be free for all visitors in recognition of this special day as we honor all men and women of our armed forces.
 
“Please join us on Veterans Day as we recognize and honor our service members, including our own park staff for their contributions and service and visit the fortifications of Castillo San Cristobal and Castillo San Felipe del Morro” said Superintendent, Walter J. Chavez.
 
Cultivate family moments and enjoy a day of relaxation, recreation or history by visiting the fortifications with your family. Visit the fortifications with your family or fly a kite, and enjoy these magnificent structures and all they have to offer.

San Juan National Historic Site is comprised of Castillo San Felipe del Morro, Castillo San Cristóbal, Fort San Juan de La Cruz (El Cañuelo), San Juan Gate, and most of the City Wall. Entrance to San Juan National Historic Site is $5.00 for visitors over 15 years and younger are free with a paid adult and it is open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. The park is opened all year except for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.
 

 

Conmemoración Del Día del Veterano en El San Juan National Historic Site

San Juan, PR. – El San Juan National Historic Site les invita a celebrar el Día de los Veteranos visitando el Castillo San Felipe del Morro y el Castillo San Cristóbal el viernes 11 de noviembre de 2016. La entrada a las fortificaciones será gratuita para todos los visitantes, en reconocimiento a este día tan especial donde honramos a todos los hombres y mujeres de nuestras fuerzas armadas.

"Por favor, únanse a nosotros en el Día del Veterano, ya que reconocemos y honramos a nuestros miembros del servicio militar, incluyendo a nuestro personal del parque por su contribución y servicio. Visite las fortificaciones del Castillo San Cristóbal y el Castillo San Felipe del Morro" dijo el Superintendente, Walter J. Chávez.

Cultive momentos familiares y disfrute de un día de relajación, recreación o historia visitando los castillos con su familia. Visite los fuertes con su familia o vuele una cometa, y disfrute de estas magníficas estructuras y todo lo que tienen para ofrecer.

San Juan National Historic Site está compuesto por el Castillo San Felipe del Morro, Castillo San Cristóbal, Fuerte San Juan de La Cruz (El Cañuelo), La Puerta de San Juan y la mayor parte de la muralla de la ciudad. El parque está abierto todos los días de 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., excepto Acción de Gracias, Día de Navidad y Día de Año Nuevo. Admisión al San Juan National Historic Site y sus fortificaciones es de $5 por visitantes de 16 años o mayores y gratis para aquellos de 15 años o menos.
