MYSTERY AT CASTILLO SAN CRISTOBAL

San Juan, Puerto Rico- Superintendent Walter J. Chavez invites you to attend “Mystery at Castillo San Cristobal” Monday, October 31st. The main plaza will be transformed in the center of activities for kids and adults from 6:00-8:00pm.  This is our 3rd year celebrating this Halloween event at Castillo San Cristobal; the park will remain open until 8:00 pm to receive visitors and their families.  Among the programs offered we will present a shadow show and the interpretative program “Life of the Spanish Soldier”, which includes information about the infamous Garita del Diablo, also educational short films among other surprises.  
Come celebrate Halloween and learn about these historic treasures in a fun way. “Come spend your Halloween here at San Juan National Historic Site, where history will come to live with all the stories and folklore Castillo San Cristóbal has to offer”, said Superintendent Chavez. 
Entrance to Castillo San Cristobal will be thru the historic ramp entrance on Calle Norzagaray, no parking is available, and visitors are encouraged to use the many available public parking facilities in the city.  This event does not require a fee to enter, walk-ins are welcome to enjoy the fortifications from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m (access to some areas will be limited due to darkness).

San Juan National Historic Site is comprised of Castillo San Felipe del Morro, Castillo San Cristóbal, Fort San Juan de La Cruz (El Cañuelo), San Juan Gate, and most of the City Wall. Entrance to San Juan National Historic Site is $5.00 for visitors over 15 years and younger are free with a paid adult and it is open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.  except on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Misterio en el Castillo San Cristóbal

San Juan, Puerto Rico- El superintendente Walter J. Chávez los invita a participar de “Misterio en Castillo San Cristóbal”, este lunes, octubre 31. La plaza principal se transformará  en el centro de actividades para grandes y chicos de 6:00-8:00pm.  Es nuestro tercer año celebrando nuestro evento de noche de brujas en el Castillo San Cristóbal; el castillo permanecerá abierto hasta las 8:00 pm para recibir visitantes y sus familias. Entre los programas que estaremos ofreciendo se destaca un “show” de sombras y el programa interpretativo “La vida del soldado español”, que incluye información sobre la infame garita del Diablo. Estaremos proyectando también cortometrajes educacionales entre otras sorpresas.

Celebre con nosotros la noche de brujas y aprenda sobre estos tesoros históricos de forma divertida.  “Venga a pasar la noche de brujas aquí en el San Juan National Historic Site, donde la historia toma vida con todos los relatos y el folclore que el Castillo San Cristóbal ofrece”, dijo el Superintendente Chávez.
La entrada al Castillo San Cristóbal se hará a través  de la rampa histórica en la Calle Norzagaray, no hay estacionamiento disponible, exhortamos a los visitantes que estacionen en las facilidades públicas disponibles en la ciudad.  Este evento es libre de costo, todos son bienvenidos a disfrutar las fortificaciones de 6:00-8:00 p.m (acceso a algunas áreas dentro del Castillo será limitado por poca iluminación).

San Juan National Historic Site está compuesto por el Castillo San Felipe del Morro, el Castillo San Cristóbal, el Fuerte de San Juan de La Cruz (El Cañuelo), Puerta de San Juan, y la mayor parte de la muralla histórica de la ciudad. El parque está abierto todos los días de 9:00 am a 6:00 pm, excepto Acción de Gracias, Navidad y Año Nuevo. La admisión a San Juan NHS y sus fortificaciones es de $ 5 para los visitantes 16 años o mayores y gratuita para los menores de 15 años con un adulto.
