Saguaro National Park intends to solicit assistance from the Department of Defense’s Innovative Readiness Training Program (IRT). The assistance will include rehabilitating a housing facility, re-engineering and improving unpaved roads and parking areas, and demolishing obsolete properties. The proposed assistance will take place at multiple sites within Saguaro National Park in Pima County, Arizona in 2027.
These projects improve critical park infrastructure by rehabilitating a housing facility to support operations, re-engineering unpaved roads and parking for safer and more reliable access and demolishing obsolete properties to reduce liabilities and restore natural areas. Collectively, they enhance visitor safety and experience, support staff and research needs, and streamline park operations for long-term sustainability.
Notice is hereby given that Saguaro National Park intends to submit a request for IRT support authorized by Section 2012 Title 10, United States Code.
