Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park is hosting a Pollinator Party to celebrate pollinator week on Wednesday, June 19. This free family-friendly event will take place from 4:30 to 6:00pm in front of the visitor center.Pollinator-themed activities will be led by The Caterpillar Lab, Sullivan County Conservation District, Stowell Library, and the park. Activities include a pollinator scavenger hunt, art experience, and hands-on exploration of the incredible world of New England pollinators with The Caterpillar Lab!
“We’re excited to co-host this popular event again with Sullivan County Conservation District and the Stowell Library,” said Superintendent Rick Kendall. “The Caterpillar lab will be a fun and engaging addition this year.”
The Pollinator Party will also include an opening reception for the Garden Mimicry Student Art Exhibit. The exhibition features artwork by students from Unity Elementary, Charlestown Primary, and Maple Avenue Elementary schools. Light refreshments will be served. The exhibition was co-created with the Sullivan County Conservation District and will run through the summer in the Caretaker’s Garage next to the visitor center. The student artwork will also be featured on the Sullivan County Conservation District native pollinator seed packets.
Bring a picnic and explore the park before the event. Entrance fees will be waived for the day for the Juneteenth holiday.
