Saint-Gaudens Memorial

The Saint-Gaudens Memorial is a nonprofit organization incorporated in 1919 by the State of New Hampshire to promote the legacy of the great American sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens (1848–1907) and to preserve his home, studios, gardens, and artworks in Cornish. The trustees operated the property as a museum from 1927 until 1964, when they donated it to the federal government. To this day, the Saint-Gaudens Memorial serves as an active partner of, and advocate for, the Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park. The organization sponsors public programs including Sunday Concerts and contemporary exhibits that promote awareness of Saint-Gaudens, the lasting legacy of his work, and the creative arts both past and present.

Opera North

A cornerstone of the arts community in the Upper Valley since 1982, Opera North is the only full-time, professional opera company in New Hampshire. The independent nonprofit has evolved from a grassroots community theater troupe to a professional, regional opera company presenting multiple mainstage productions every year. The organization is a core partner in developing a new national park for the arts at the historic Blow-Me-Down Farm. After entering into a long-term lease from the National Park Service, Opera North has welcomed hundreds of theater-goers to riverfront propoerty and is spearheading currently efforts to preserve the historic casino building for future use as the organization's new headquarters.

Networks

The National Park Service consists of over 400 units working to protect America's most treasured places. Beyond this wide-ranging federal agency, Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park joins even more organizations as members of these networks.

Reconstruction Era National Historic Network

The John D. Dingell, Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act was signed into law on March 12, 2019, and outlined the creation of the Reconstruction Era National Historic Network. This network, managed by Reconstruction Era National Historical Park, includes sites and programs that are affiliated with the Reconstruction Era, but not necessarily managed by the National Park Service. The network facilitates and reviews Reconstruction Era related research and collaboration with affiliated sites and programs through agreements and partnerships. This network is nationwide and works to provide opportunities for visitors to connect to the stories of Reconstruction.

Northeast Temperate Network

The Northeast Temperate Network (NETN) helps its 13 member parks better understand the health of their biological communities (forests, birds, etc), waters, and other natural resources through long-term monitoring and periodic inventories. Their mission is to collect, manage, and translate high quality information about the condition of natural resources so that our national parks can make better-informed management decisions. This information is also valuable for supporting research projects, providing educational opportunities, and promoting better public understanding of park natural resources. The Northeast Temperate Network is one of 32 Inventory & Monitoring networks across the country that are developing a strong scientific foundation for stewardship and management of natural resources throughout the National Park System.

Historic Artists' Homes and Studios

The Historic Artists’ Homes and Studios program is a coalition of independent museums that have come together to celebrate and investigate creativity. Every place in the HAHS program was the home and working studio of an American artist. Each of these places is now devoted to understanding and explaining how an artist made their art. The program is administered by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
