News Release Date: June 16, 2010 The multimedia website section for Rocky Mountain National Park continues to expand with videos, podcasts, webcams and blogs. Roaming Rockies podcasts help you plan your visit to the park. Interested in hiking in the Longs Peak area? A new podcast gives a snapshot of what to expect and how to prepare. Check out the ten essentials podcast, which highlights those key items that should be in your backpack every time you head out on the trail. Three webcams highlight different areas of the park. The newest webcam is on the west side of the park and overlooks the Kawuneeche Valley and the Never Summer Mountains. The two webcams on the east side of the park spotlight Longs Peak and the view of the Continental Divide from the Glacier Basin Campground. When you can’t visit Rocky Mountain National Park in person, you can transport yourself to a spot in the park! Rocky twitters! Get the “official” word and timely updates from park staff.
