Although most of the country celebrated International Migratory Bird Day on May 8, Rocky Mountain National Park staff are celebrating this Saturday, June 12. Park rangers will be leading trips from 8:00 a.m. to noon this Saturday. Participants should plan to meet at the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center at 8:00 a.m. to get an overview of the morning’s activities and caravan to some good birding spots.

Launched in 1993, by the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center, International Migratory Bird Day (IMBD) is now coordinated by Environment for the Americas, based in Boulder, Colorado. IMBD is the largest-known bird conservation and education event of its kind in the Western Hemisphere.
