Continuing again this year on Tuesday nights is the Science Behind The Scenery Series in Rocky Mountain National Park. These one-hour programs begin at 7:30 p.m. and are held in the auditorium at Beaver Meadows Visitor Center. The programs will run from June 19 to August 21.  A variety of scientists will share their interesting work and discoveries. This year's series will have a Biodiversity theme.  Expand your knowledge of the park by learning more about the research behind the scenes.

Our presenter on Tuesday, June 19, will be Dr. Glenn Plumb, Chief Wildlife Biologist of the National Park Service. He will be speaking on the topic of Biodiversity in National Parks: An Adaptive Resource or Natural Heritage Under Siege? In 1993, Glenn joined the National Park Service at Badlands National Park as a Wildlife Biologist to lead recovery efforts for the black-footed ferret. He served as Supervisory Wildlife Biologist and Chief of Natural Resources at Yellowstone National Park from 1998-2010 before becoming the Chief Wildlife Biologist for the National Park Service.
