The Pika, Heir of the Ice Age Rocky Mountain National Park’s severe alpine tundra is home to the Pika, a small ultra-cute hare and leftover from the Ice Age. Specifically adapted to the frigid alpine environment, the Pika’s habitat could be impacted by climate change. Join park ranger Dar Spearing to discover more about the curious life of the Pika.

The Wild Bunch Squirrels may be cute, but they are also an important link to the park’s other wildlife. Many large animals’ survival depends on the smallest wildlife in Rocky Mountain National Park. Join park ranger Sue Spearing to meet Rocky’s little wildlife and find out how they contribute to the park. These evening programs will be held at the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center in Rocky Mountain National Park. They are free and open to the public.
