WASHINGTON— Starting October 1, the National Park Service (NPS) will extend metered parking at the parking lot at Thompson Boat Center in Georgetown.
Parking for Thompson Boat Center is located on the west side of the intersection of Rock Creek and Potomac Parkway and Virginia Avenue NW. There are 85 parking spaces affected by the change.
This expansion supports ongoing efforts to generate revenue that will improve amenities and visitor services in sites administered by Rock Creek Park. Parking meter rates will remain at $2.30 per hour. Visitors may park at the Thompson Boat Center parking lot for up to four hours. Parking regulations are enforced in coordination with the D.C. Department of Public Works.
