Accessibility

River Raisin National Battlefield Park hopes to make your visit an pleasant one and has an easy access into the new Education Center. The new Theater also has a handicap elevator and handicap seating areas. The Center also has two fully accessible bathrooms. All other areas of the Center are fully accessible so you won't miss a thing. We also have wheelchairs available, just ask at the welcome desk.
Our new park video is completely closed captioned.

River Raisin National Battlefield Park has a small staff but would like to provide the best experience possible for all visitors. If you would like to request an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter, please notify the Park at least 5 business days prior to your visit. Because the ASL interpreter does not work at the Park fulltime, we will need to know some basic information including what day you plan to visit, how many people in your group, what time you will arrive, and about how long you are able to stay.

Outside we have a picnic area with a picnic table that is made for a wheelchair. We have a paved 0.6 mile loop trail with historical markers that is easy to get around. There is also the 4.4 mile paved loop River Raisin Heritage Trail that takes you into Sterling State Park.

Service animals are allowed in national parks. For a definition of a service animal, please see the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) definition.

Thank you for considering a visit to River Raisin National Battlefield Park.
