Family oriented campground talks will be offered by the National Park Service and Student Conservation Association at Olema Ranch Campground on the evenings of September 25, and October 9, in conjunction with Fire Safety Month in October. The presentation, called “Good Fire, Bad Fire” will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Smokey Bear public education campaign and the 40th anniversary of the Wilderness Act. The talks will take place in an outdoor amphitheater at the Olema Ranch Campfire Center from 6:45 to 7:30pm in an educational storytelling format. These talks are open to the public, free of charge. Additional programs will be scheduled at the Bear Valley Visitor Center picnic area during the month of October. -NPS- |
