Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the National Park Service has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Wilkins Ranch Rehabilitation and Public Use and Rehabilitation of Septic and Water System. The area is located in the southern Olema Valley near Bolinas within Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The area is administered by Point Reyes National Seashore. The EA evaluates three alternatives including a no-action alternative and two action alternatives. The alternatives are: Alternative A: No Action—Continue to Operate Private Facilities; Alternative B: Residential Use and Additional Public Access; Upgrade Buildings, Sewage Disposal, and Water System; Alternative C: Rehabilitate Facilities for Two Residences and Conservation and Education Center; Additional Public Access; Upgrade Buildings, Sewage Disposal, and Water System (Preferred Alternative). If you wish to obtain a copy of the Environmental Assessment, please contact Ann Nelson at (415) 464-5120 and a copy will be mailed to you.
