Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the National Park Service has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the proposed construction of a freestall (loafing) dairy barn and other resource enhancements at the McClure Ranch within Point Reyes National Seashore. If you with to obtain a copy of the Environmental Assessment, please contact Ann Nelson at (415) 464-5102 and a copy will be mailed to you. Please state your name and address clearly if you leave a message. Persons who wish to submit written comments on the Environmental Assessment are encouraged to do so to the Superintendent, Point Reyes National Seashore, Point Reyes, CA 94956. Written comments may also be emailed. All comments must be postmarked or transmitted no later than April 29, 2001. If individuals submitting comments request that their name and/or address be withheld from public disclosure, it will be honored to the extent allowable by law. Such requests must be stated prominently in the beginning of the comments. There also may be circumstances wherein the National Park Service will withhold a respondent’s identity as allowable by law. As always, the National Park Service will make available to public inspection all submissions from organizations or businesses and from persons identifying themselves as representatives or officials of organizations and businesses; and, anonymous comments may not be considered. Comments and feedback received by the National Park Service from the public will assist the National Park Service in refining the proposal and ensuring that public concerns or issues are included in the final Environmental Assessment. -NPS- |
