Saturday, April 26, 1997 Please join us for the 16th Annual Strawberry Festival at Kule Loklo: A Coast Miwok Cultural Exhibit at Point Reyes National Seashore, Saturday, April 26, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. This traditional Native American festival celebrates the new year with blessings of the first fruit of the season -- strawberries. Native American dancing begins after 1:00 pm. Kule Loklo is a replica of a typical Coast Miwok village prior to European contact for the land now known as Point Reyes National Seashore. The festival is free and is a great event for the entire family. Bring a picnic lunch, a blanket to sit on, and strawberries. Park at the Bear Valley Visitor Center and walk the ½ mile trail up to the village. No dogs, bicycles, or alcoholic beverages are allowed. For more information, please call the Bear Valley Visitor Center at (415) 663-1092. -NPS- |
