Giacomini Wetland Restoration Project: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Public Notice - Background Information
Point Reyes National Seashore and California State Lands Commission are seeking a permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to construct Phase II of the Giacomini Wetland Restoration Project. As part of the Individual Permit process, the Corps is required to issue a 30-day public notice, soliciting comments from the public and regulatory agencies regarding this activity. The ending date for public comment was June 16, 2008. Point Reyes National Seashore and the California State Lands Commission hope to begin construction in July 2008, should the permit be approved.
