Location:

Each performance will take place at a different location in the park and the schedule will be as follows: 11 am: Devil's Orchard Trailhead; 12 pm: Inferno Cone Summit; 1 pm: Spatter Cones; 2 pm: Caves Area Trailhead; 3 pm: Indian Tunnel - A free cave permit is required to enter Indian Tunnel to protect bats. Permits must be obtained from the visitor center.

Performances will be on the hour from 11 am - 3 pm at different locations. Each performance will last approximately 3-5 minutes.


Description

What would Craters of the Moon sound like if it were a song?

The Boise State Faculty and Friends Quintet will be performing a collection of original pieces inspired by Craters of the Moon composed by Artist-in-Residence Matthew Durrant. The group will be performing a 3-5 minute piece at different locations along the Loop Road throughout the day. 

The locations and times of each performance will be as follows: 

11 am: Devil's Orchard Trailhead

12 pm: Inferno Cone Summit

1 pm: Spatter Cones

2 pm: Caves Area Trailhead

3 pm: Indian Tunnel - A free cave permit is required to enter to protect bats. Permits must be obtained from the visitor center.
