Enjoy a walk through time when you visit the William Floyd Estate. The Estate was at the center of the Floyd Family's life for more than 250 years and the ancestral home, grounds, outbuildings, and family cemetery help tell the story of the continual use, change, and adaptations that took place here in Mastic Beach, New York.

WILLIAM FLOYD ESTATE

 

The William Floyd Estate, which was authorized as an addition to Fire Island National Seashore, is located on the mainland of Long Island. Two hundred and fifty years of history are preserved at the Estate.

The William Floyd Estate features the 25-room "Old Mastic House" and historic grounds, which includes twelve outbuildings, the family cemetery, and 613 acres of forest, fields, marsh, and trails. The Old Mastic House contains a variety of architectural features and artifacts from three centuries of American life, the story of the family, and their use and enjoyment of this place.

The William Floyd Estate and grounds are open between Memorial Day and Veterans Day. The Old Mastic House may be closed due to Covid-19.
